Russian Prime Minister to visit Việt Nam

HÀ NỘI — Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Anatolyevich Medvedev will pay an official visit to Việt Nam from November  一 八.

The Foreign Ministry said the visit would be made at the invitation of Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc. 

Việt Nam and Russia established diplomatic relations in  一 九 五0 and decided to elevate the relationship to a strategic partnership in  二00 一 and then to a comprehensive strategic partnership  一 一 years later.

Political ties between the two nations have been enhanced through the regular exchange of delegations and bilateral meetings at all levels, and via the mechanism of consultation and strategic dialogue. 

Việt Nam-Russia economic, trade and investment ties have enjoyed dynamic development.

After the free trade agreement between Việt Nam and the Eurasian Economic Union officially came into effect in October  二0 一 六, trade value between the two countries has grown strongly, reaching US$ 五. 三 billion in  二0 一 七.

The two nations are striving to lift bilateral trade to $ 一0 billion by  二0 二0. In terms of investment, Russia has  一 一 七 direct investment projects in Việt Nam with total registered capital of nearly $ 一 billion.
