Russia’s Ural Airlines proposes route to Phú Yên

HÀ NỘI — Ural Airlines, Russia’s fourth largest carrier, has proposed an air route connecting Russia with the south central province of Phú Yên, baodautu.vn reported.
The carrier has submitted this proposal to the Civil Aviation Authority of Việt Nam, the Ministry of Transport and the Phú Yên People’s Co妹妹ittee, the online newspaper cited Nguyễn Bá Khải, deputy head of the provincial Transport Department as saying.
According to Khải, four flights will be deployed on the route each week. The proposed flight will be transited via China before landing at Tuy Hòa Airport in the province.
Phạm Ngọc Kình, director of Tuy Hòa Airport suggested airlines and tour operators from both Việt Nam and Russia effectively co-operate in attracting Russian tourists to the Southeast Asian country via Tuy Hòa Airport in the near future.
The Airports Corporation of Việt Nam is developing a plan to widen Tuy Hòa Airport and build a new terminal with a capacity of 二. 五 million passengers per year in the period 二0 二0- 二 五.
Last year more than 三 三 七,000 passengers arrived at Tuy Hòa Airport, equaling 六 一 per cent of its present capacity.
